The Autumn Wreath Hand Embroidery Pattern

October 07, 2016 8 Comments

AUTUMN HAS ARRIVED and with it comes crisp breezes and crunchy leaves and pumpkin spice for days! You might find yourself sitting at home, curled up on the couch, wishing you had something to pass the time. Well, believe me when I say that this month's #stitchventure pattern might just be the perfect way to kick off the next few months of holiday bliss!

This month's pattern was super fun to make, and stitch, especially since I had the pleasure of using DMC's new pearl cotton line. I've never been a fan of pearl cotton before, but after this experience, I might be their new biggest fan. Not only did the two strand thread make the perfect stitch width for this project, but it added an extra depth to this piece that, to me, just screams autumn.

The pattern can easily be completed with any kind of thread and colors, but I used a variety of solid color DMC pearl cotton as well as a few variated DMC pearl cotton. The entire list of threads that I used can now be found over at Commonthread DMC, where they are also available for purchase!

AND, because I love you guys so much, head on over to Common Thread DMC and use this exclusive promo code, GULUSH15, at checkout for 15% off! Say wha?! You're welcome.

This one is also very beautiful!!!
I’d love to try this kind of embroidery! I have never done this kind of embroidery, only crosstiching.
And you make beautiful pictures by the way!

My favorite part of fall is the cooler temperatures. I look forward to everything cozy: Hot drinks, blankets, fires, warm desserts….
