Pattern of the Month for June

May 31, 2016 1 Comment

Summer is here, summer is here! I'm on vacation (huzzah, y'all) but I'm not coming up short on our Stitchventure Pattern of the Month! I've been hearing cries for all things cactus and now the time has finally come!

Available in our #STITCHVENTURE subscription or as a single pattern you can easily complete this pattern with just ONE STITCH (aka outline the entire pattern with a single back stitch). But, for the more adventurous stitchers, this pattern can also be completed with a bunch of more difficult stitches like a satin stitch to fill in the different parts or
french knots to add some texture and depth. Experiment with your favorite stitches and colors to make this cactus piece just right for you (or someone you love)! cactus embroidery

Also - don't forget our live stream! On June 12th, I'll be doing a live stream of this pattern on Periscope where I walk you through it, share some insight on what makes me tick, and answer any and all questions you might have! Sounds fun, right? Totally. So be there or be square!

Now, while ya'll are getting to working on this pattern, I'm busy sketching up my next one (and I always want to make sure I'm making products that you guys enjoy)! So, Sound off below in the comments with what you would love to see in future patterns (or tell me your favorite kind of desert plant) and I'll select one commenter to win this month's PATTERN!!

I’d love to see a pattern for vegetables in a market basket. Tomorrow is our last day of the spring season at the Children’s Vegetable Garden, where we teach children how to plant young transplants and seeds and care for them until they are ready to harvest. This spring our young gardeners grew cabbage, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes (cherry & medium-size tomatoes), green beans, white and red potatoes, cucumber, peppers (sweet banana, bell, and jalapeño) basil, and a few flowers (begonia, moss rose). Lots of textures and colors to choose from for an embroidery!
